Nearly 1,500 bicycle stores participated in the survey, and women's bicycles accounted for 57.7% of the bicycles sold, while men's bicycles accounted for 42.3% of the market. More and more people use bicycles, especially electric bicycles, for recreation, which is also the main reason for the growth of women's bicycle market share. The average price of an e-bike increased by 5.8% to 2,170 euros. Belgian bike shops are optimistic about the future of the market. The increase in sales has had a positive impact on the bicycle trade. 74.7% of bicycle retailers will continue to grow their business this year, and 19.5% have plans to expand.
In January 2017, Giloul organized the sales team to participate in the Belgium International Bicycle Show, at which dozens of products of "Giloul Series" were displayed, which was highly recognized by industry friends attending the meeting.
